PLASA Media has recently received a warning that an unofficial
directory falsely purporting to represent exhibitors is being
circulated to potential exhibitors at this year's Entech show
in Australia. Juliusmedia Pty Ltd, the official publisher and
organizer for the show, say that those taking part in the event
should be aware that they may receive a listing form from a firm
called Data Verlag AG (Austria) with 'Entech Australia', and
their own exhibitor name prominently displayed upon it. The form
proposes to continue a supposedly free listing in a directory
which has no official connection with Entech. Buried in the fine
print is the promise to invoice the company signing the form
the amount of US$981. The advice to all Entech exhibitors is
to discard any such offer, and to contact Juliesmedia Ltd through
the website address below, should they receive any similar proposals |

| Write a contestation |
- You should make clear that the form is misleading and that you therefore cannot accept it as a legal contract. In addition you should cancel the contract - but you should do that in addition and only as a measure of precaution in case a judge should say the trickform is a contract .- Having done that you should cut any contact.

After you declared that you cannot accept the misleading form as
a contract Construct Data must seek a legal decision - and it
is very improbable that they will do that - more likely they
will force you with letters and phonecalls, with fax and email,
to pay - in the end they will offer you an "out of court
settlement" . The best reactioin is to tell them that you
are eagerly waiting for them to take legal action so you can
clarify the truth. |
If you are enraged enough about this dirty game you can take legal action yourself and ask the court to find out, if you signed a contract or a scam form. It is better to do that than to wait - because Construct Data is threatening with legal action in Austria hoping to intimidate the "customers" - and if you believe they might do that it is better to take legal action in your home country. |
